Dawne is easily sleeping throughout the day, but is not comfortable. Her joints ache and potty breaks are frequent. She is spirited, but sustaining longer interactions is a chore. The Cancer Survivor Docent told us that the first several treatments are the worst and that usually about a week after treatment the body begins to recover. I’m betting a lot of the difficulties is the heavy doses of steroids used to hedge against Dawne’s body becoming allergic or being allergic to the infusion drugs. We would not be the first to tell you of the downsides to steroids.
