Genetic Testing, PET Scan, and Bone Scan Results

Hallelujah!

Christmas came early for me.  Thank you doctor for once again taking the time to call me in advance of family time.  I have to say that I am blessed with a wonderful Cancer Surgeon who understands the complexities of medicine while not losing human compassion in the process.

Gift #1: My HER2 Positive breast cancer officially tested negative for genetic markers.  No BRCA genetic indicators found.

Gift #2: BEST NEWS YET!  The Bone Scan results (preceded by PET Scan results) came in – my cancer is not metastatic.

Recalling for those that are familiar with the generally accepted stages of cancer that based on biopsies taken from a couple of weeks ago my lymph nodes were diagnosed as irritated, but showed no signs of cancer within the lymph nodes.

Now we focus 100% of our energies on the little buggers in my breast.  Die bugs die!
